All tours will need Passports. We have a strange situation at the border of USA and Canada. Due to the nature of the area there is an 8 mile gap between the actual physical border and the border control. This happens on both the USA and Canadian side. The reason in part that this occurs is due to the boarder being at the top of a mountain and the fact that we can get Avalanches in the winter and spring months. Even if you do not cross into Canada at all (Grand Slam Town and Summit Tour) You will still need your Passport or if a USA citizen a photo ID and original certified birth certificate because 8 miles into the 15 miles that it take to get to the top of the summit we will cross USA customs but will not have entered Canada.
Requirements for boarder crossing can change. To be most up to date on all the requirements it is best to check with the Canadian Government itself. Fortunately there is a great online resource for learning more about entering Canada HERE.
If you cannot aquire proper documentation before your trip you will not be able to enter Canada. Please make sure to download a picture of your visa onto your phone or camera as there is not service at the Canadian boarder crossing if it is an electronic visa. Pictures of Passports are not accepted. |
